Ua Floors® Cares About the Environment

  Nowadays we all realize how important the environment is to families, our posterity,
   and us. Ua Floors ® strives to be at the forefront of environmental awareness.
   Being "green" means a lot of different things to a lot of different people; this is what
   it means to us.

  1. Renewable Resources: Ua Floors® is committed to import timber and plywood
   only from sources that have followed proper harvesting and forest management
   protocols in the country of origin. For example, our pine plywood core used for all
   Grecian Series products comes from Radiate Pine logs imported from
   New Zealand. New Zealand is one of the few countries in the world where almost
   the whole forest land is well managed and certified. Our N. American species
   all come from reputable hardwood suppliers in the US and Canada. Both countries
   have enviable forest management systems. All of our S. American species are
   documented to be from legal forests, harvested legally, or they are allowed to be
   exported to us. True Reclaimed Heart Pine products come from old industrial
   buildings --- certainly we are helping the environment by reusing this wood that
   Nature already allowed us to cut down once before.

  2. VOC's: Our flooring products all meet European E1 or E0 standards for ultra low
   emissions of formaldehyde, the leading off gassing chemical found in products like
   plywood. E1 refers to products that have between 0.1 and 0.5 ppm off gassing of
   formaldehyde; it is the standard in the European Union. Products with more than
   0.5 ppm are not allowed to be used inside buildings. All of our products which use
   birch plywood meet this rule. Our Grecian Series products meet the even more
   stringent E0 rules. This refers to under 0.1 ppm off gassing of formaldehyde. A few
   countries such as Japan and Korea have adopted this more stringent rules as
   they have so many very high density residential buildings.

  3.Staff: Ua headquarter and production is located in Taiwan, which is the top producer
   of high tech and high end IT products. We are a big family group; employees are our
