Australian Cypress Australian Cypress is famouse as the hardest softwood (evergreen) in the
world. While it is 10% harder than Red Oak, it is more brittle so dents tend to be
more distinct than dents in Red Oak. It is wonderful in residential usage, yet
hard enough to use in commercial applications where a rustic look is desired.
Because of Australian Cypress's nature characteristics, it might be easily crack or deform if the enviornmental condition
is not properly maintained! (For more detail please refer
to Maintenance.) Color: Australian Cypress exhibits a wide range of colors, from white or yellow
sapwood to dark red / brown heartwood to dark green and black knots and
cracks. Over time the severe color differences
will mellow a little yet you will
