American Hard Maple
American Hard Maple is 15% harder than Red Oak. It is suitable for most
uses, whether residential or commercial. It is as stable as Red Oak, though,
so slight shrinkage or cupping is normal under extremely low or high humidity
conditions.
Color: Hard Maple is know as the king of white woods. Our Select Natural grade
has very few dark streaks. Sapwood color starts as a very white or creamy color
and over time turns a goldn cream color. While known as a white wood, color
can range from pure white to yellow, depending on time of year the tree was
cut and region harvested.
