American Cherry
American Cherry is a favroite for cabinetry and furniture. Only 75% as hard as
Red Oak, Cherry is not as stable for high traffic areas, households with big dogs,
commercial applications, or by consumers who will be bothered by denting.
All woods will dent, Cherry more than most.
Color: American Cherry is highly prized for its rich reddish color and fine
distinctive grain. PLEASE NOTE: Cherry changes color dramatically with time
and exposure to light. The pale pink color will turn a dark reddish color when
fully aged. This occurs within a few weeks if in direct sunlight or over a 6 to 8
month period otherwise. Areas under a rug or piece of furniture will nor change
at all. This is normal.
